Doug Merritt – CEO and President
Doug Merritt is co-founder, President and CEO of Icarian and
leads the company’s efforts in Icarian Business Services. He brings
more than 12 years of experience in the software industry, including
being a key member of two successful start-up software companies.
Prior to Icarian, Merritt was one of the first employees at Patrol
Software, a pioneer of database monitoring and alerting software.
Following its acquisition by BMC Software, Patrol became a flagship
product for BMC, which now generates more than $100 million in
annual revenue. Before joining Patrol, he led PowerSoft’s efforts
as the first head of Western Region Sales and Marketing.
Marie Jackson – VP Marketing
Marie Jackson joins Icarian as Vice President, Marketing with
20 years of experience in marketing and sales in the technology
industry. Formerly, she was senior vice president of marketing
at Computer Curriculum Corporation (CCC), where she was responsible
for expanding the company’s award- winning educational software
line and extending its reach in the K-12 education market.
Prior to joining Computer Curriculum Corporation (CCC), Jackson
was vice president of corporate marketing at Taligent where she
managed both sales and marketing activities for the Apple, Hewlett-Packard,
IBM joint venture. She has also served in several executive management
positions at Apple Computer, Inc., including senior director of
sales operations covering all markets in Apple’s North American
operations. Jackson received a bachelor’s degree in psychology,
and a master’s degree in business administration and finance from
the University of California at Berkeley.
Robert McKelligan – VP Business Development & Product Management
Rob McKelligan, VP of Business Development, is responsible for
Icarian’s strategic partnering initiatives.
McKelligan most recently served as the VP of Product Strategy
at PeopleSoft, where he oversaw a team of domain experts to create
